Driver arrested for DUI in Saratoga after hitting parked car

Stolen/recovered vehicle: At 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to an auto theft call at a residence in the 20000 block of Fourth Street. An investigation revealed the suspect stole a vehicle there, which was recovered damaged a short time later in San Jose. The suspect was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.

March 20

Residential burglary: Between 4:30 p.m. on March 19 and 9:30 a.m. on March 20, someone entered an unoccupied residence under construction in the 18000 block of Purdue Drive through an unlocked rear door and stole tools valued at approximately $2,890.

March 21

Residential burglary: At 9:07 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 19000 block of Bountiful Acres Way by breaking a window and stole jewelry and sports memorabilia of an unknown value.

March 22

Vandalism: Between 5 p.m. and 9:26 p.m., someone broke a window of a vehicle parked at Saratoga Avenue and Worden Way. The total amount of damage was estimated at about $1,000.

Vehicle burglary: Between 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Big Basin Way and stole cellular phone chargers for a loss valued at about $40.

March 23

Vehicle burglary: Between 8 p.m. on March 22 and 9 a.m. on March 23, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 14000 block of Saratoga Avenue and stole electronics and luggage for a loss valued at approximately $2,730.

DUI, non-injury collision: At 11:36 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic hazard call at Sevilla Lane and Mandarin Way on report of a vehicle stalled in the middle of the roadway. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol and hit a parked vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail.
