Detroit Tigers Announce Gleyber Torres Update Before Red Sox Series

On Monday night, the Detroit Tigers will open up their series with the Boston Red Sox at Comerica Park.

The Tigers are coming off a 7-1 win over the Texas Rangers (on Sunday).

Gleyber Torres did not play in Sunday’s game (after getting hurt on Saturday).

For Monday’s game, the Tigers have announced their starting lineup.

Torres remains out of the starting lineup on Monday.

That said, manger A.J. Hinch shared a positive update.

Evan Woodbery of MLive Media Group wrote: “In less pressing news, Gleyber Torres (left side tightness) will be out of the lineup again tonight, but A.J. Hinch suggested he could be used as a pinch hitter.”
