The record high for the day was last set in 1971, and Front Range residents can expect more record-setting temperatures through the weekend, according to NWS forecasters.
Forecasts now show temperatures are expected to rise to 101 degrees on Saturday, which would break the record high of 100 degrees set in 2003, and 102 degrees on Sunday, which would break the record high of 100 degrees set in 1878.
