A Denver scooter rider was hit by a train and seriously injured Sunday morning, police said.
Denver officers responded to reports of the scooter-train crash around 1 a.m. Sunday, near East 42nd Avenue and North Clayton Street and just south of Interstate 70, according to a statement from the police department.
Investigators said the unidentified victim was riding a stand-up scooter and collided with the Regional Transportation District’s A Line commuter train.
Paramedics took the scooter rider to the hospital with serious injuries.
Denver police said to expect delays in the area during the investigation and RTD officials suspended part of A Line’s service until further notice.
