Denver police arrest man on suspicion of murder in Friday death

Denver police arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the Friday death of the suspect’s roommate.

Police arrested Dakotah Lulei, 28, after an autopsy of his roommate revealed “internal injuries consistent with significant trauma,” the department said in a press release Sunday. Lulei is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and second-degree assault.

When police responded to a medical emergency in the 5200 block of North Vasquez Boulevard on Friday night, the emergency was initially considered a possible overdose, according to the press release.
