Denver Pioneers hockey forward Jack Devine was named National Player of the Month for October.
During the first month of the season, Devine led the NCHC and NCAA in scoring with 14 points on 13 assists and one goal.
The Pios senior is averaging 2.33 points per game on the young season. He set a career-high with four assists on opening night on Oct. 5, with Denver beating Alaska Anchorage 6-2.
Devine will play in his 125th career game when DU hits the ice Friday to take on Yale. He is five goals shy of 50 in his career.
DU is back in action against Yale at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
