Del Taco abruptly closes multiple Colorado locations

Del Taco abruptly closed multiple metro Denver restaurants on Thursday, according to signs posted on doors in Englewood and Aurora.

A notice dated Thursday at the Englewood Del Taco, 50 W. Belleview Ave., told customers the restaurant was closed until further notice.

According to 9News, a sign posted at the Aurora Del Taco at 14400 E. Colfax Ave. announced the closure of all Colorado locations — but at least one store in Grand Junction was still open and serving customers Thursday afternoon.

Phone numbers for multiple metro Denver Del Tacos were either disconnected or could not be reached Thursday, and the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Del Taco operated 19 locations across the state, including in Aurora, Brighton, Castle Rock, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Commerce City, Denver, Englewood, Firestone, Grand Junction, Greeley, Lakewood, Lone Tree and Parker.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
