One of my favorite shows of the year, the Henry Decoy Show, is from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe. The 57th Henry Decoy Show leads Go & Show this week.
It’s not just the visuals (duck decoys, other waterfowl carvings, bird carvings, books) of the show, but the hum of the show punctuated with duck and goose calls. Probably not a show for everyone, but I find the eclectic mix seductive. Yes, you should be home in time for the Big Game.
- The Northern Illinois Conservation Club Ice Fishing Derby is 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Headquarters are at Turtle Beach Marina on Channel Lake in Antioch. The meat raffle begins at noon.

The 31st DRiFT Fly Fishing Auction is Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Villa Park VFW. Registration and preview begin at 9 a.m. The auction begins at 10 a.m. A custom-made bamboo fly rod is among the raffle prizes.
