BERKELEY – A suspect was arrested Saturday after activating a stun gun during a protest in front of a Tesla dealership, according to authorities with the Berkeley Police Department.
On Saturday, March 22, around 175 protesters gathered at the 4th Street Tesla Dealership in Berkeley as part of a growing number of protests against Elon Musk and his actions.
The suspect, described as a counter protester by authorities, approached the crowd on a bicycle and later engaged in an argument with several protesters. In the course of the altercation, he brandished a stun gun and activated it. Upon hearing the stun gun turn on, a nearby officer who was monitoring the protest intervened and arrested the subject.
The subject was booked at the Berkeley Police Department and is awaiting charges from the District Attorney.
