Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected again this afternoon over the mountains, Interstate 25 corridor and plains, according to the National Weather Service.
Stronger storms may produce hail and strong wind gusts, mainly across northeastern Colorado, NWS meteorologists said.
Today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 89 degrees in the Denver Metro area. There’s a 20% chance of precipitation with showers before noon and showers and thunderstorms between noon and 5 p.m. possible.Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of 60 degrees.
Denverites can expect mostly sunny weather with a high of 86 degrees and a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon on Tuesday. Tuesday night may dip to 58 degrees with a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, according to the NWS.
Afternoon showers may continue in the Denver Metro area on Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon in portions of central, east central, south central and southeast Colorado. Locally heavy rainfall, flash flooding, lightning and small hail may be possible in the mountains. The eastern plains can expect gusty winds up to 50 mph, small hail, lightning and heavy rain, according to the NWS.
Widespread storms capable of producing gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning may also be possible this afternoon and evening in portions of northwest, southwest and west central Colorado.
Scattered afternoon thunderstorms may be possible across the state through Sunday, with drier conditions expected on Independence Day, according to the NWS.
