Parts of Colorado are under a Red Flag Warning this afternoon because of low humidity, gusty winds and high temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for South Park, parts of Grand and Summit counties and portions of the plains and Palmer Divide south and east of Denver from noon until 6 p.m. Wind gusts up to 30 mph and low relative humidity around 10 to 15% are expected in these areas.
A heat advisory is also in effect from noon to 7 p.m. today for Denver, Castle Rock, Byers, Limon and southern Lincoln County with temperatures in the high 90s this afternoon. Residents should stay hydrated, wear lightweight and loose clothing when outside and limit strenuous outdoor activities to early morning and evening, forecasters said.
Hot and dry weather will continue across the urban corridor and plains on Monday. A cold front will bring cooler temperatures to the plains on Tuesday, with a chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday.

Temperatures up to 96 degrees are expected today in the Denver metro area with wind gusts up to 22 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 59 degrees.
Monday will be breezy with gusts up to 29 mph and a high of 96 degrees. Monday night will dip to 57 degrees with wind gusts as high as 26 mph.
Denverites can expect cooler temperatures on Tuesday with a high of 79 degrees and a low of 53 that night with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the NWS.
