Light flurries forecast for Colorado on Tuesday are expected to leave traces of snow across the Denver area and several inches in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service.
As of Monday morning, the weather service’s likely snow forecasts included:
- Traces in Arvada, Aurora, Bailey, Centennial, Denver, Estes Park, Golden, Lakewood and at Denver International Airport
- 1/2 inch in Castle Rock, Conifer, Evergreen, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Parker and at the Keystone Ski Area Summit
- 1 inch on U.S. 6’s Loveland Pass, Interstate 70’s Vail Pass, U.S. 40’s Berthoud Pass and in Winter Park
- And 2 inches on Colorado 14’s Cameron Pass near Fort Collins and U.S. 34’s Milner Pass in Rocky Mountain National Park
No snow is expected to accumulate on the Eastern Plains, but trace amounts will be possible on the higher end of the forecast, according to the weather service.
Snow is most likely in Denver between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 4 a.m. Wednesday, and on mountain passes from 11 a.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to hourly forecasts from the weather service.
