Colorado road conditions: Snowstorm, crashes close I-25, mountain highways

A winter storm moving across Colorado closed northbound Interstate 25 south of Pueblo and several other mountain highways for crashes and safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The storm is expected to bring up to 3 inches of snow to metro Denver while dumping up to 12 inches in southern Colorado, according to the National Weather Service.

As of 7:15 p.m. Monday, the following highways are closed because of crashes or safety concerns:

Eastbound Interstate 76 between Pecos Street and Colorado 53/North Washington Street
Northbound I-25 between exit 71 for Graneros Road and Colorado 165/Colorado City
U.S. 160 between Fort Garland and Bear Creek Road, near Walsenburg
U.S. 285 at County Road 140 north of Poncha Springs
Southbound U.S. 550 in Ouray

This is a developing story and will be updated.
