Colorado road conditions: I-70, U.S. 6 closed through mountain corridor for safety concerns

Interstate 70 and U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass were closed for crashes and safety concerns Thursday night as another winter storm swept across Colorado.

Eastbound I-70 is closed between exit 203 for east Frisco and exit 205 for Silverthorne for safety concerns as of 7 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Westbound I-70 is closed at exit 216 for Loveland Pass for safety concerns and near Avon, between exit 168 and 187, because of a jackknifed semitruck blocking the highway.

U.S. 6 is closed in both directions over Loveland Pass, between I-70 and mile 228.7, east of Keystone Ski Resort for safety concerns.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
