Chicago man charged with fatal Albany Park stabbing

A Chicago man is slated to appear in court Friday accused of fatally stabbing a man in Albany Park on the Northwest Side.

Irving Martinez-Hernandez, 30, was arrested about an hour after he allegedly stabbed and killed Juan Carlos Tello-Suarez Tuesday in the 3500 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, Chicago police said. He was charged with first degree murder.

Tello-Suarez, of Albany Park, was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:50 p.m., police said.

Martinez-Hernandez was set to appear in court Friday.
