Central Florida continued the misery for Colorado.
The UCF Knights handed the CU men’s basketball team a 95-86 defeat Saturday afternoon, extending the Buffaloes’ losing streak to five games.
CU (12-8, 2-5 Big 12) led 31-23 with a little less than 8 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half, but the Knights outscored the Buffs 26-16 the rest of the way to take a 49-47 lead at halftime.
UCF shot .607 during the first half, the third-highest total in any half recorded this season by a CU opponent. The Knights used seven consecutive points during a 10-2 run in the second half to extend the lead to 13 points.
Barrington Hargress, Sebastian Rancik and Isaiah Johnson all led the Buffs with 20 points apiece. UCF outrebounded Colorado 32-23 and finished with a .611 shooting percentage, the highest mark by a CU foe this season.
