Car passenger fatally shot in East Garfield Park

A man was shot to death in a vehicle Friday afternoon in East Garfield Park.

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle when someone opened fire in the 3800 block of West Adams Street around 5:15 p.m., Chicago police said.

He was struck in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Neither his name nor his age have been released.

No arrests had been made as of early Friday evening.
