Car lands in Jackson Park Harbor after crash in South Shore; driver hospitalized

A man was hospitalized after a crash led to his car ending up in water near Jackson Park Harbor in South Shore on Sunday night, Chicago police said.

The man, 28, was driving eastbound in the 2300 block of East Marquette Road about 7:03 p.m. when he hit a Nissan going eastbound on East Marquette Road. The first car came to a stop in a nearby body of water, police said.

The motorist was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
