Caltrain reports major delays for all trains

Because of a service disruption near Palo Alto, Caltrain reported late Tuesday morning that all trains were “experiencing major delays.”

As of 11:20 a.m., the delays were as long as 43 minutes and affected trains in both directions, the system’s service alert said.

By 11:40 the trains that had been held at stations were moving again.

Train 123, a northbound that usually arrives at the Palo Alto station at 10:55 a.m., was canceled. The following train, 125, will accommodate all passengers, the alert said.

All trains were boarding on the northbound platform of the Palo Alto and California Avenue stations.
