Police are looking for a man who burglarized five Near North Side businesses Wednesday morning.
The man forcibly entered the businesses through a front window or door and rummaged through the building, in one case stealing property, Chicago police said.
The burglaries happened at the following times and locations:
- Between midnight and 7 a.m. in the 100 block of West North Avenue
- 3 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Wells Street
- 4 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Wells Street
- 4:15 a.m. in the 1200 block of North La Salle Drive
- 5:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Wells Street
The suspect is described by police as a man between 20 and 45 years old. He wore a light green hooded sweatshirt, khaki cargo pants, a black ski mask, black shoes and black gloves during the burglaries, police said.
