Body pulled from Chicago River in West Town

A body was recovered Wednesday from the Chicago River in West Town.

The Chicago police marine unit pulled the remains of a body, which was only described as a male, from the water about 5 p.m. in the 900 block of North Elston Avenue, Chicago police said.

No other information was available. Detectives are conducting a death investigation.
