Body found in Boulder County, suspicious death under investigation, sheriff says

Deputies are investigating a suspicious death near Ward in unincorporated Boulder County, sheriff’s officials announced Wednesday.

Around 9:37 a.m. Saturday, Boulder deputies responded to reports of a possible body found near the 8000 block of Overland Road — about six miles north of Ward — according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The reporting party directed rescue personnel and deputies to the victim, who was declared dead on scene, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s officials said the death is suspicious in nature and is under investigation. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim at a later date.

Deputies have executed multiple search warrants, according to Wednesday’s news release, but no information about arrests, suspects or the victim’s cause of death was available.
