Bishop Ford Freeway back open following shooting

No one was injured during a shooting on the Bishop Ford Freeway late Wednesday.

Around 11:40 p.m., state troopers responded to the Chicago Police Department for a report of a shooting in the northbound lanes near 115th Street, Illinois state police said.

Someone fired at the driver of a vehicle but did not shoot the driver, who was unharmed, state police said. The shooter then fled.

Lanes reopened around 3:50 a.m. after the northbound lanes from 130th to 111th streets were shut down for investigation shortly after midnight.

No further information was immediately available.
