The Buffalo Bills are in the middle of training camp, and quarterback Josh Allen made a career move on Thursday that is sure to excite fans.
Wegmans grocery store announced a limited-time Josh Allen cereal to benefit the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
“Wegmans and the Buffalo Bills are teaming up to support children in Buffalo and surrounding communities. You can help too, just by starting your day with a bowl of cereal,” Wegmans Food Markets, Inc stated in a press release.
“Not just any cereal of course, Wegmans Brand Josh Allen Crunch Time cereal is in stores for a limited time, with a portion of sales benefiting the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, New York. The cereal will be sold in Wegmans stores in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, New York’s Southern Tier, and Erie, Pennsylvania while supplies last. As in year’s past, $1 from every box sold is going to the children’s hospital.”
Allen is Always Looking to Help Out the Community
Allen is one of the best people in the NFL on and off the field, and seeing him give back to the Buffalo area once again is something we have been used to ever since the Bills drafted him in 2018.
When Allen turned 30 in May, he partnered with New Era on a special-edition cap, with proceeds benefiting families in the Western New York area.
Allen doesn’t just help people in Western New York; he also supports his hometown of Firebaugh, California. Last fall, he partnered with Wonderful Pistachios to launch a college scholarship for Firebaugh High School students. According to ABC 30, at the time the scholarship was announced, 40 eligible seniors at Firebaugh High School had already been accepted into this year’s Josh Allen Scholarship Program. The program will assist them with college applications and provide up to $12,000 over four years of college.
Allen Knows the Bills Are Close to Getting That Super Bowl Dream
While Allen has done a great job helping out people in Western New York, one thing he really wants to bring back to the area is a Super Bowl trophy.
The Bills have been knocking at the door of the Super Bowl for the last six seasons but have fallen short. Allen knows if the Bills keep playing well, they will have a chance to get there.
“I mean, definitely we’ve watched it, we’ve put it in the past, we’ve learned from it,” Allen told ESPN’s Kevin Clark on Wednesday, via Pro Football Talk’s Myles Simmons. “We’ve been in the playoffs a lot of times in the last however many years I’ve been here now. And just continuing to find ways to learn from it.
“It’s a hard pill to swallow sometimes because we haven’t gotten it done. But you knock enough at the door, it’s going to open at some point. That’s what we have to keep doing, is keep knocking on that door and giving ourselves chances to be in that situation again.”
