After a somewhat disappointing rookie season with the Chicago Bears, former No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams bounced back with a vengeance during his sophomore campaign in the Windy City, as he came into his own with head coach Ben Johnson calling the shots from the sideline.
Williams proved he is one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL, with a bright future ahead, finally giving the Bears the franchise quarterback they have needed for quite some time.

Along with getting the fans in Chicago excited for what’s to come in the years ahead, Williams has caught the attention of Bears legend Brian Urlacher.
The Hall of Famer recently sat down for an interview with Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times and opened up about what he’s seen from the new face of the Bears franchise thus far.
“He’s a badass,” Urlacher said. “When things go bad, he’s at his best. When [stuff] breaks down, that dude shows up. He can make every throw, just like he said.
“I was just so impressed. Unbelievable, and I’m so excited for the future. He could be there the next 20 years. He should be.”
Urlacher has been impressed with how Williams always seems to keep the Bears in games, even when it seems like Chicago is down and out.
“The amazing thing is they never thought they were out of any game,” Urlacher said. “They always found a way to win. Even that playoff game against the Rams, I never thought they were going to lose.”
Potential Bears’ Trade Target Maxx Crosby Denies Rumors

The Bears have been linked to Las Vegas Raiders superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby heading into the NFL offseason, as some believe the veteran pass rusher wants out of Sin City for greener pastures.
However, Crosby recently addressed all the speculation while on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and denied having any desire for the Raiders to trade him during the offseason.
“It’s funny,” Crosby said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. “I’m glad you brought it up, because it’s like, damned if you do, damned if you don’t, you know? For me, in the past, I’ve learned that being too vocal and too involved with trying to make, like, ‘I want this coach, or I want this.’ I’ve learned my lessons, and I’ve learned from that. That’s not my job.
“But you can’t control everything. I’ve learned that. Now that I’m quiet, now I’ve got random people making big statements for me. They’re like, ‘Oh, Maxx must have told them this.’ For me, I just sit back and laugh, because I know my truth. When I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.”
Even though Crosby has denied wanting to leave Las Vegas, anything can happen during the offseason, especially with all the changes the Raiders are currently going through, with Klint Kubiak set to be the new leader on the sideline.
