Bears G Teven Jenkins doesn’t practice Thursday

WARE, England — Bears guard Teven Jenkins, who hurt his ankle Sunday against the Jaguars, did not practice Thursday.

Kyler Gordon, who has a heel injury, returned to full participation. Fellow cornerback Tyrique Stevenson was added to the injury report with a calf injury; he was limited.

Tight end Marcedes Lewis got his usual veteran’s day off. Defensive end Jacob Martin practiced for the first time since the Bears took him off injured reserve.

The team held a walk-through Wednesday and merely estimated what their full participation would be. They’d already ruled out safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion), defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and cornerback Terell Smith (hip).

This and that

• The Bears practiced on a football field complete with goalposts that was at the end of a short wooded path from their hotel rooms at Hanbury Manor. It was a far cry from 2019, when they sat in traffic to and from practices at the Saracens rugby facility.

Bears chairman George McCaskey said that the Bears considered facilities that were at least a half hour’s drive from practice.

“To be able to walk down the hill to the practice pitch is very convenient,” he said. “Field’s in great shape. Facilities are good.”

• The Jaguars planned to arrive in London later than they originally expected Friday because of delays related to Hurricane Milton tearing through Florida. A press conference scheduled for Friday after Jaguars practice was moved to Saturday. The Jaguars, who have called London their second home for years, will stay overseas for two games.

• Gordon conducted a Q&A with British children, who asked him how he takes his tea (he doesn’t), what sports he likes (soccer) and whether he can do the gritty (he got up and danced).

• Hightower said he talked to coaching friends — and his players to friends on other teams — to get a sense of kicking at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
