Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Nora Carino, Evergreen Valley cross country

Evergreen Valley cross country runner Nora Carino is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Nov. 11-16.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Carino finished with 48.35% of the votes. Leigh water polo player Miya Pierre finished second.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Carino, a sophomore, won the CCS Division I girls individual championship with a time of 18:20.0.
