Oakland football player Noah Bandabaila is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Nov. 11-16.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Bandabaila finished with 25.52% of the vote. McClymonds football player Jessie King took second at 23.10% and Sacred Heart Cathedral cross-country runner Miles Cook took third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Bandabaila, a senior, knocked in a 39-yard field goal to beat Oakland Tech 10-7 and send the Wildcats to the Silver Bowl. Oakland will play McClymonds in the Oakland Section championship at Castlemont on Saturday.
