The Baltimore Orioles have been without infielder Jordan Westburg for all of this season so far. The 27-year-old infielder has been sidelined with an elbow injury and was placed on the 60-day injured list earlier this campaign.
Now, an update has been provided on Westburg, and it is undoubtedly very bad news for the Orioles.
According to The Baltimore Banner’s Andy Kostka, Westburg is undergoing elbow surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.
With the Orioles having their struggles this season, there is no question that they are missing Westburg right now. Yet, with this update, they, unfortunately, won’t have the three-year veteran and 2024 All-Star for the remainder of the campaign.
Westburg appeared in 85 games this past season with the Orioles, where he had 17 home runs, 41 RBIs, and a .265 batting average. This is after he had 18 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a .264 batting average in 107 games for the Orioles during the 2024 campaign.
