Avoid parking, rideshare surge pricing with RTD transportation to Morgan Wallen concerts

Planning to take a trip Thursday or Friday to Empower Field at Mile High for Morgan Wallen’s performances? Here’s how to navigate downtown and avoid rideshare surge pricing using public transportation.

The Regional Transportation District is prepared to support an increase in riders during the Morgan Wallen concerts on June 27 and 28 at Empower Field, which lies close to several bus stops and light rail stations, RTD officials said in a Wednesday news release.

Before and after the concerts, RTD will offer regularly scheduled service on the D, E, H and W lines, which all directly serve Empower Field, as well as the A, B, G and N lines, which provide service to Union Station — about a two-mile walk from the stadium.

The last H line light rail train — which runs every 60 minutes from Union Station to Florida Station in Aurora — will depart from Union Station at 11:25 p.m. and leave Empower Field at 11:30 p.m.

D line’s last light rail train — which runs every 30 minutes from Union Station to Littleton Mineral Station — will depart from Union Station at 11:49 p.m. both nights and leave Empower Field at 11:54 p.m.

The last W line light rail train — which runs every 30 minutes from Union Station to the Jefferson County Government Center in Golden — will leave Union Station at 11:52 p.m. and Empower Field at 11:57 p.m.

E line’s last light rail train — which runs every 60 minutes from Union Station to Ridgegate Parkway Station in Lone Tree — will leave Union Station at 11:55 p.m. and depart from Empower Field at midnight.

The latest available train from Union Station will be the A line, which departs Union Station for the last time each night at 12:30 a.m. A line trains do not stop at Empower Field.

Additionally, the Route 1, Route 15L, Route 16 and Route 31 buses all serve the Decatur-Federal Station, which is a half-mile walk from Empower Field.
