The individual’s boat had capsized near 2800 East Reservoir Dam Road, landing them in the water, the Aurora Fire Rescue stated on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, at 9:42 a.m.
Aurora Fire Rescue employees began providing medical aid to the patient after the rangers got the person to the shoreline. The South Metro Rescue dive team was also at the reservoir to make sure no other person had fallen in the water, according to Aurora Fire Rescue.
A spokesperson from Aurora Fire Rescue did not immediately respond to a request for more information about the incident, including what caused the boat to overturn.
