Arrest made in Sunnyvale injury shooting

SUNNYVALE – Authorities on Monday announced an arrest in an injury shooting last week in Sunnyvale.

Around 7 p.m. Friday, the victim flagged down officers in the 800 block of San Aleso Avenue, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said in a statement. Officers provided medical aid to the victim, who appeared to have been shot once in the leg.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released, authorities said.

After cordoning off the area, authorities found the suspect and recovered a firearm.

Authorities said an initial investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim knew each other and that the suspect appeared to have fired several rounds at the victim.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Moseley, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on on suspicion of charges including attempted murder. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to jail records.
