Are the Sex Pistols still worth seeing in concert without Johnny Rotten?

The Sex Pistols are hitting the road — without legendary lead singer Johnny Rotten.

Will they still be worth seeing in concert if Rotten (aka, John Lydon) is not along for the ride?

Probably, given that the iconic punk band still includes three members of the original lineup — guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock. Handling the microphone this time around is Frank Turner. Plus, the group will be performing its landmark debut — 1977’s “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” — in its entirety at each stop on this trek.

Bay Area fans can check out the Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Turner on Oct. 15 at the Warfield in San Francisco.

Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Turner tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 4, SexPistolsFeaturingFrankCarter.com.
