Amber Alert issued for missing Pueblo girl following vehicle theft

A 13-year-old Pueblo girl is missing after the car she was in was stolen Wednesday night, according to an Amber Alert issued by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Sandra Mendoza was in a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday when it was stolen by an unknown Hispanic man, according to the alert.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle, but Sandra is still missing, CBI officials said late Wednesday night.

Sandra is described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 100 pounds with hazel eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
