Alex Rodriguez Urges New York Yankees To Trade For 6x Time MLB All-Star

On Monday, the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 7-5 in Ohio.

Paul Goldschmidt led the team with three RBI’s.

The Yankees will likely be an active team at the trade deadline looking to improve their roster for playoff run.

In a recent interview with FS1’s First Things First, Alex Rodriguez said he thinks the team should look to acquire Jeremy Peña.

He also mentioned that Josh Hader would be a good option.

Rodriguez: “And then I would look at Hader, the left-handed relief guy. Those are kind of the two moves I would think about.”

Hader has been among the best relievers in baseball for nearly a decade.

The 32-year-old was picked in the 19th round of the 2012 MLB Draft.

He spent the first 5.5 seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Following the Brewers, Hader spent part of two seasons with the San Diego Padres.

He is in his third year with the Houston Astros.

Over 470 career games, the six-time MLB All-Star has gone 34-31 with a 2.62 ERA.

FOX Sports: MLB wrote (on June 2): “Josh Hader had a 2.05 ERA while converting 28 out of 29 save opportunities for Houston last year before he went on the injured list in August with a capsule strain in his left shoulder.”

The Yankees have had a very solid start to the year as the second-place team in the American League East with a 39-26 record in 65 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games (and 19-12 in 31 games at home).

Following two more games with the Guardians, the Yankees will visit the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night.
