Adelitas Cocina Y Cantina is “taking over the big space right by our grassy lawn, where they’ll bring their generational Mexican food with a Michoacán bent,” the market said on Instagram.
No opening date has been set. Adelitas founder Silvia Andaya didn’t return an email seeking comment.
Andaya first opened Adelitas, 1294 S. Broadway, in 2013, cooking recipes based on her hometown of Michoacán, Mexico. Three years later, she added La Doña Mezcaleria, with a kitchen and cocktail bar, around the corner. The family also owns Ni Tuyo, a similar restaurant which opened in summer 2022 at 730 S. University Blvd. in Denver.
