A Bears Hail Mary Christmas

People keep finding ways to make fun of the Bears.

A Christmas ornament (which could be AI generated) immortalizing the team’s last-second loss to the Washington Commanders on Oct. 27 is making the rounds on social media.

The ornament shows five Bears’ players jumping for the ball as Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown waits to catch the game-winning touchdown. The base has the game’s final score, 18-15.

The scene, of course, is based on Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson gesturing to fans at the start of a Hail Mary that was caught by Brown, the man Stevenson was supposed to be guarding.

“I let my teammates down in a situation that we know how to handle,” Stevenson said the day after the game.

“He’s going to live with that for a long time,” Bears cornerbacks coach Jon Hoke at the time. “We all know that. It is what it is. Now we’ve got to keep moving forward, we’ve got to keep growing the man and keep growing the player.”
