A Fairfax resident pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges that he drove while intoxicated and struck a 75-year-old pedestrian.
Edward Raymond Bacci, 80, is charged with a felony count of causing great bodily injury while driving under the influence of alcohol and a felony count of injuring a person while his blood-alcohol level exceeded California’s legal limit of 0.08%. The criminal complaint does not say what his alleged blood-alcohol level was.
The incident happened on July 23. Bacci, the owner of Nave’s Bar and Grill in Fairfax, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard when he hit the pedestrian, police reported. She was walking to her apartment at the Bennett House care home.
