23-year-old fatally shot in Greater Grand Crossing

A 23-year-old man died was fatally shot in Greater Grand Crossing early Sunday, Chicago police said.

He was shot several times in the 7300 block of South Greenwood Avenue around 5:20 a.m. The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and later pronounced dead, police said.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, authorities said. No one has been arrested.
