NASCAR announced today that tickets for the third Chicago Street Race will go on sale to the public on Jan. 27.
The street race returns to Grant Park from July 5-6 with new ticket options. Kids 12 or under will have free admission all weekend, and prices will be reduced throughout the event.
Affordability was a key selling point for NASCAR last season. Ticket prices range from the $100-$600 range. General admission ticket prices will be significantly lower. Grounds Pass tickets start at $99, 33% less than last year. Grandstands reserved seats will be offered at 50% of the 2024 prices.
NASCAR has also expanded its free Grounds Pass ticket for Kids 12 and under to both Saturday and Sunday.
“Unlike events at brick-and-mortar stadiums, we have a unique opportunity to continually refine every element of our race based on key learnings and feedback from attendees and our neighbors in Chicago,” president of NASCAR’s Chicago Street Race Julie Giese said. “We’ve listened to their feedback, and we’re being even more creative this year – optimizing our product offerings while continuing to look for ways to be good neighbors by reducing the set-up and tear-down time even further.”
NASCAR has also optimized the time it will take to build the 12-turn, 2.2-mile course, reducing the building time by a week. The organization did this to ensure the public will have access to Buckingham Fountain as long as possible.
