2 teens arrested after brawl near Bronzeville high school prompts large police response

Charges were pending for two 16-year-olds who were arrested after a brawl erupted, prompting a large police response Wednesday night near Dunbar Vocational Career Academy in Bronzeville.

Officers responded to the 3000 block of South King Drive, near Dunbar Vocational Career Academy, around 8 p.m. for the fight, Chicago police said.

As officers were trying to intervene, a 16-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl were both arrested, police said.

Chicago Public Schools didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.


Charges were pending.
