2 shot, 1 fatally, in Belmont Cragin

Two men were shot, one of them fatally, in Belmont Cragin early Saturday, police said.

The men, 25 and 29, were outside in the 6000 block of West Belden Street when someone fired shots shortly before 2 a.m., according to Chicago police.

The younger man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center with a gunshot to the head. He died at the hospital.

The older man was shot in the back and shoulder and was listed in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
