2 people found slain in a pickup truck in the Santa Cruz Mountains

Two bodies were found in a pickup truck parked along a Santa Cruz Mountains road, and the deaths are being investigated as homicides.

The discovery was made around 6:50 p.m. Monday, March 24, at a pullout on the east side of Skyline Boulevard near Oak Ridge Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP is leading the investigation because Skyline is a state highway. An agency spokesperson did not release the victims’ identities or cause of death.

A woman who said she is the sister of one victim told TV station KSBW that her brother was from Boulder Creek and the other victim was a friend of his.
