2 paramedics among 4 hurt when ambulance collides with SUV in McKinley Park neighborhood

Two paramedics were among four people hurt when an ambulance collided with an SUV Tuesday night in a South Side intersection.

A CFD ambulance was westbound on 35th Street with its lights and sirens going when it collided with a red SUV that was northbound on Leavitt Street about 9:10 p.m.

Two paramedics were taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, police said. Their conditions were unknown.

A man and woman who in the SUV were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition as a precaution, officials said.
