2 men wounded in North Lawndale shooting

Two men were wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday in North Lawndale.

The men, ages 58 and 59, were in the street about 5:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Whipple Street when someone in a car pulled up and an occupant fired shots, Chicago police said.

The 58-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his face and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

The other man was shot in the hip and buttocks. He was taken to the same hospital in good condition, police said.

No arrests were reported.
