Two men are accused of stealing items from a train Friday afternoon in Austin on the West Side.

Derrick Weathers, 53, and Lemar Hollingsworth, 21, were both charged with theft, while Weathers also faced a felony drug charge, Chicago police said.

A Union Pacific train was stopped while awaiting an interchange with a partner railroad around 3:30 p.m. near Lake Street and Lockwood Avenue when a group of people began opening some shipping containers on the train and removing merchandise, Union Pacific and police said.
