13-year-old boy grazed by gunfire in Englewood

A 13-year-old boy was grazed by gunfire Saturday night in Englewood on the South Side.

Just after 8:30 p.m., the boy was walking in the 5500 block of South Shields Avenue when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

The boy suffered a graze wound to the foot and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.

There was no one in custody. Area One detectives are investigating.
