One person was killed and three others were “seriously injured” in a Commerce City hit-and-run crash on Sunday, police said.
The driver of an Audi SUV struck a family of four in their car near the intersection of Holly Street and East 58th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
One person — an 18-year-old man — was killed in the crash that also injured his parents and another teenage passenger, police said. None of the victims were identified by police.
Police said the driver and passengers in the suspect SUV immediately got out, jumped into another nearby car and fled the scene.
“We are in contact with the owner of the suspect vehicle abandoned at the crash scene and are still investigating who is responsible for this terrible incident,” police said in a news release.
