<p id=”par-2_78″>Lively’s feud with Justin Baldoni has been reportedly brewing ever since the two first worked together. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/blake-lively-lost-excitement-acting-gossip-girl.html/”>The <em>Gossip Girl </em>star</a> has accused Baldoni of creating a hostile environment on the set of <em>It Ends With Us.</em> Their rivalry culminated in a lawsuit Lively filed against Baldoni on December, 20, 2024, where she accused the filmmaker of sexual harassment. Additionally, the lawsuit also claimed that Baldoni and his publicist went on a social media crusade to destroy Lively’s reputation.</p>
<p id=”par-3_43″>“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement according to <a href=”https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/21/business/media/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-it-ends-with-us.html”>The New York Times</a>.</p>

<p id=”par-4_63″>Reynolds, however, has been quietly supporting Lively from behind the scenes. According to <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/ryan-reynolds-allegedly-has-it-ends-with-us-director-justin-baldoni-blocked/”>Us Weekly</a>, Reynolds unfollowed and blocked Baldoni’s Instagram account months before the scandal escalated. This allegedly led to Baldoni panicking at the thought of his on-set behavior going public. Not too long ago, Reynolds may have taken to social media again to discreetly express his feelings to his followers. </p>
<p id=”par-5_63″>The <em>Buried </em>star posted a short clip on social media where he’s dressed in his iconic Deadpool costume. The post was a tribute to Sick Kids Hospital, a charity that Reynolds and Lively have been funding and advocating for. While thanking his followers for supporting the cause, Reynolds confided that he “really didn’t feel like putting the suit on” to film the short.</p>

<p id=”par-7_36″>Baldoni has denied all the accusations Lively leveled against him through his lawyer Bryan Freedman. Not only that, but Freedman was confident that Lively would be the one exposed at the end of their legal war.</p>
<p id=”par-8_21″>“This is not a response or countersuit — it’s a deliberate pursuit of truth,” Freedman said in an interview with <a href=”https://people.com/justin-baldoni-lawyer-bryan-freedman-says-new-lawsuit-will-expose-truth-about-blake-lively-legal-complaint-exclusive-8767327″>People</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-9_74″>Through his lawyer, Baldoni claimed <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-affleck-thought-blake-lively-just-blonde-girl-audition-the-town.html/”><em>The Town </em>actor</a> manipulated sources like The New York Times to support her case using false circumstantial evidence. Freedman highlighted the publication’s article, “We Can Bury Anyone,” as an example of Lively distorting the truth to fit her narrative. The piece unveiled text messages exchanged between Baldoni and his PR team where they’re discussing intentionally ruining Lively’s reputation. However, Freedman claimed the messages were purposely shared out of context.</p>
<p id=”par-10_37″><a></a>“There is an insurmountable collection of authentic evidence, including timelines and communications, which have not been doctored or spliced without context, unlike the altered [<em>New York Times</em>] story that ran on Saturday, December 21st 2024,” Freedman said.</p>
