We’re also used to seeing them wearing pieces that previously belonged to other royals. Like <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/princess-anne/?swcfpc=1″>Princess Anne</a>, who has been spotted donning some beautiful jewels that once belonged to her mother, Queen Elizabeth II. And how Prince Harry’s wife, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a>, and Prince William’s wife, the Princess of Wales (<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/dont-be-fooled-this-is-what-kate-middleton-was-really-like-in-school.html/”>formerly known as Kate Middleton</a>), both wear and own pieces that were once part of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/princess-diana/?swcfpc=1″>Princess Diana</a>‘s collection. </p>
<p id=”par-2_37″>But what many weren’t expecting was to see <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/camilla-parker-bowles/?swcfpc=1″>Queen Camilla</a> wearing an accessory that belongs to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/princess-charlotte/?swcfpc=1″>Princess Charlotte</a>. Now, we’re breaking down the reports that the queen was seen out and about sporting her granddaughter-in-law’s jewelry. </p>

<p id=”par-3_49″>Queen Camilla is a big fan of brooches and has some very unique pieces in her collection that seem to always get people talking. This was the case back in October 2024 when she accessorized her outfit with a pin that was inspired by marine life: the Scallop-Shell Brooch.</p>
<p id=”par-4_56″>Maxwell Stone, a jewelry expert with the U.K. retailer <a href=”https://www.stevenstone.co.uk/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Steven Stone</a>, shared that the brooch which “features pave set diamonds around a single pearl, was made in 1919. It was left to Queen Elizabeth [The Queen Mother] by Courtauld-Thomsen’s sister, Winifred Hope Thomsen. The Queen Mother regularly wore the piece, most notably during her 100th birthday celebrations in 2000.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_21″>And on Feb. 6, 2025, King Charles’ wife was seen wearing a large brooch that resembled a bumble bee or wasp.</p>

<p id=”par-6_66″>Maxwell explained: “The stunning accessory is expertly crafted from yellow gold. The insect’s body and eyes are adorned with sapphires, while its wings sparkle with diamonds. The brooch’s origin remains a mystery. Given Queen Camilla’s inheritance of Queen Elizabeth II’s vast jewelry collection after her passing, speculation suggests that it could be one of the late monarch’s earliest acquisitions–a diamond bee brooch featuring a cabochon sapphire.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_31″>But it’s the horseshoe brooch Camilla was spotted wearing on Feb. 15, that caused a fuss as some believe it is the same brooch Princess Charlotte wore to a public event.</p>

<p id=”par-8_45″>There’s been a debate online about that horseshoe brooch, with some claiming that Queen Camilla was wearing the same one Charlotte wore to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-ii-dead-british-monarch-dies-96.html/”>Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral</a>. However, if you look at the pieces side by side, you’ll see they are not the same. </p>

<p id=”par-11_51″>The horseshoe brooch Princess Charlotte wore to the state funeral of her “Gan-Gan” back in 2022 as a tribute to her great-grandmother’s passion for horses is a neatly studded diamond pin that once belonged to the Queen Mother. The brooch was actually gifted to the young princess by Queen Elizabeth II.</p>
